Transformer Protection CSC-326

CSC-326 is a highly selective, reliable, and high-speed transformer protection IED designed for medium and high voltage two-winding or three-winding power transformers.With powerful differential protection as the primary function and a comprehensive set of integrated backup protections, its flexible and fully programmable logic ensures seamless adaptation to all winding connection types and transformer configurations.

        a) It is applicable to low voltage side with branch of three-winding transformer and equipped with differential and three-side backup protection.

        b) Differential protection acquiescently picks up current IH1 from high voltage side 1, IH2 from high voltage side 2, IM1 from medium side 1, IM2 from medium side 2, IL1 from low voltage side 1, IL2 from low voltage side 2 and IL3 from low voltage side 3, the branch current is selected, according to the different branch number of high, medium and low voltage side.

        c) The backup protection on the high voltage side is fixed with the sum current of IH1 and IH2. The backup protection on the medium voltage side is fixed to the sum current of IM1 and IM2.Low voltage side backup protection fixed at IL1 current, low voltage side 2 backup protection fixed at IL2 current, low voltage side 3 backup protection fixed at IL3 current. Low voltage side 1, 2, and 3 external zero sequence voltage fixed to IL0BU.

       d) It is equipped with overcurrent protection scheme of IEC 61850 GOOSE message

  • Circuit breaker position status monitoring

  • Equipped with module self-check function

  • Provides completed report record, operation report, alarm report, startup report and trip report. All reports could save no less than 2000 items and are able to save when power is off

  • Up to three electric/optical Ethernet ports and capable of communicating with substation automation system through IEC 61850 or TCP103 protocol

  • RS485 is provided to communicate with substation automatic system by protocol IEC 60870-5-103

  • Both the bay layer and process layer support the supports PRP protocol based on IEC62439-3, the device can be set to PRP mode, and the dual network ports adopt redundant mode to send and receive information in parallel

  • Network time synchronization protocol (SNTP), pulse, IRIG-B or 1588 synchronizing modes can be selected to time synchronization

  • A friendly MMI

  • IEDs could be installed on panel, separately on switchgear panel or in outdoor switchgear

  • It supports sampling value (SV) and general object-oriented substation event (GOOSE) functions, supports direct sampling and direct tripping applications, and also supports SV and GOOSE networking application engineering, meeting the needs of digital substations. The device can communicate with the merging unit of  process level according to the IEC61850-9-2 and access the sampling value information. The IED can exchange information with other devices of in the bay level to achieve logic cooperation under GOOSE service defined by IEC61850. It can also communicate with the process level intelligent unit to realize the information collection and control function of the promary device
